"Flickering Treasures" with Amy Davis

Artifactual Journey Episode 14 with Amy Davis, author of Flickering Treasures and award-winning Baltimore Sun photojournalist, is up!

An exciting new exhibit will feature "Flickering Treasures" content and a few gems from the Nanny Jack And Co Archives at the National Building Museum (401 F Street NW, Washington, D.C., 20001) from November 17, 2018 through October 14, 2019.

Throughout the duration of the exhibit, we will post additional Black Baltimore movie theater history and artifacts on oldwestbaltimore.com.

The Dunbar Theater was described as "the most beautiful house for colored folks south of New York" in the 1937-1938 First Colored Directory of Baltimore With A Washington D.C. Annex
