Old West Baltimore's Connection to Johns Hopkins University

On February 24, we gave the first of 2 guest lectures at Johns Hopkins University discussing material culture and interpretive skills. During the 2 hours and 20 minutes, we showcased African American connections to Hopkins, such as Kelly Miller, Milton Stanley, W. Ashbie Hawkins, Carl J. Murphy, and the NAACP. We also showed material documenting the African American experience in Maryland and the nation.

More specifics will be shared in future posts as we uncover connections to Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
